Saw your post on Forum Help about the RAW file format. Hope that this will help clear the air! Also posted this reply to the Forum. Think of the RAW file format as being digital imaging's equivalent to film. Like film, a digital image sensor does not capture image data that can immediately be viewed as a picture. Just as film has to be developed to render an visible image, a RAW file must be processes by a computer to yield a final image. When you shoot in JPEG your camera uses it's on board, built in computer to perform this processing step. When you shoot RAW, this process is performed in your computer (Mac or PC). When viewing a RAW image before processing it will tend to look washed out with low contrast. It is then up to you to "develop", or enhance the image by using the software supplied with the camera or an aftermarket convertor like Abobe Camera Raw.

Well I got back from Sydney the other day. It was really fun, we did loads of fun stuff, the best bit was seeing Billy Eliot, I really enjoyed that.

So the horse.... Xena hadn't been ridden for about a week while I was away. She was a little fat and unfit but wonderful as ever we rode western and worked on trot cant transitions.

In this ride I realized how far we've come when I first got her I'd ride her every day because things started to get a bit mental if...

Since the forums been changed (it looks great btw) I've noticed this blog thing so I thought I'd write in mine.

I went to the Gold coast for a few days so Xena hasn't been riden for a while but I rode her today. It was really good!!! I posted a critique and it was suggested I should shorten my stirrups so I did and I was amazed by the difference it made. My position was so much better and it felt really good. If only I'd done it earlier!!

So that was another good ride,...
