Since I have grown up around horses who were more or less sporthorse types, that is what I am attracted too most. That leaves a lot of "breeds" to put into the mix - Arabs, TBs, Warmbloods, QHs, etc. I like the look of some other breeds in their traditional form - hard not to like a dainty Arab floating across a ring, or a cutting horse with 110% concentration on the cow. Some, in their "traditional" form, do not appeal to me at all - Saddlebreds in stacks, for example.

Umm....I'm sorry but Arabs when crossed CAN event and event WELL!! I have an Oldenburg cross Arabian mare. And she can do everything under the sun!! Oldenburg Arabians are VERY successful in the Eventing and Sporthorse world.

And even purebred Arabs, of the sporthorse types, such as the Crabbet lines, can do well.

Oh yeah...speaking of purebred Arabs...There was a purebred Arabian mare that went to a Hanoverian inspection and she did VERY well!! Got put right into the Premium Mare Book. Her jumping ability really put her over the top. She's 14.3hh(just making it as a horse) and was jumping I think 5 feet oxers at the inspection.

Well...I loooove draft x TB My favorite horses are all draft x TB (Cubby - belgian x tb, Panda, clyde x tb, Springer...ok...shes mostly TB with 1/8 clyde...but still!)

I looove big horses! But i still like one who is athletic, fast, can jump, etc. Cubby was huuuuuge...16.3 hh, 1400+ lbs...just massive. And pure muscle too! LOL! But she was still VEEEEEERY fast, and loved to jump. Though because she was so big, you really have to be strong to ride her, that why worked well one her, because normally im WAY to strong for the horses I ride. She would just take off at a gallop before and after jump, and you barely notice the jump in between ahaha...it was so fun though

JB- I think I found a pic of her a long time ago...But I'm not sure it was really her...I just looked for a few minutes but couldn't find anything...Look under "Arabian mare registered with Hanoverian" or something like that...I believe she's a chestnut, with a flaxen mane and tail...If I remember correctly.
