Is it alright to kill humans with a bow and arrow then? Now that would be a debatable sport.

Cowgurly- I may 'own' my horse and ride my horse, but we're partners. I ask her to do everything and if she honestly is in a bad mood, I'll let her have the day off. I use a bitless bridle and am working on riding w/o a bridle and saddle. There is a difference between owning an animal and being partners with them. If i was suffering I'd expect a friend to put me out of my misory, sure put me to sleep but dont send me to make my last days misrible and lonely.

Would you not agree? I mean you did say that was an acceptable way (the only acceptable way actually) to kill an animal. You also said humans are animals and on the same level. So by taking that, killing a human with a bow and arrow is acceptable in your eyes.

The point of slaughter is not the "sport" of it. It's about getting the meat. Just because you don't like meat doesn't mean that others aren't going to. Human lives are much more important than animal lives. Oh, and btw, that leather tack you use with your horse? dead cow. All that hay you feed your horse? Comes from the same farmer that slaughters cattle. Millions of animals are pushed out of their habitats and killed/poisoned by the same farmers that make your "vegan" meals.

And to go with what Dawn said, so then taking a person, forcing a bit into his/her mouth, making them live in a pen/stall, and riding around on their backs is okay too?

Dawn: Yea, killing a human with a bow and arrow is fine i guess. But you are not going to EAT the human are you? no. hopefully not. that soul is not wasted. so flaming_

Cowgurly- ALL my tack is synthetic, my hay comes from down the street from my best friends farm! and all my vegan meals I cook, most of it comes straight from my organic garden, so want to test me now?

It seems to me the only way the life (of anything) that is killed for sport to not be wasted is to eat it. Your statement does not make sense.

LOL What Dawn says it right. That is the belief, that the soul isn't wasted when all the parts of the body are used, not the opposite.

Also, yes I would. You still haven't asnwered the bit about riding people around. And if your equal to your horse, what give you the right to keep him/her locked up in a stall/pen and force her/him to carry you around?? and I highly doubt that ALL of the food you eat comes from your garden. You never eat at restaurants or friend's places?

believe w/o you want, I hate eating out at resturants because food quality is crappy, I love fresh food.

What I meant is not killed for 'sport' if you kill an animal, give it a fair honest chance and not pen it up so it cant escape and USE the body when u kill it.

I dont keep my horse locked up, we have acres and acres of land, i call my horse if she wants to come, im not a nazi slave owner.

Actually I have a question about that. I was thinking about this the other day. Do you eat bread? Or noodles? If you do eat bread or noodles are they made with eggs? And as a Vegan you do not eat any meat correct? Do you only eat veggies then? You do realize plants are alive. They enjoy music (study proved that plants grew better with music) So you eating plants is killing another living thing to feed yourself. Heck this could get really deep.

As for the original topic I agree with horse slaughter. The same way that I agree with dog and cat slaughter (yes slaughter it may be done the same way but we are still taking their lives)

So how many times a week does she get to ride you? No matter how many times ppl want to say we are partners you really arnt. She doesnt make sure you eat or brush you. I have yet to see a person being ridden by a horse. You own her period. You will decide if she is put down someday because she is ill. You decide what food she eats or if she gets a blanket tonight.
