Mine would have to be having a horse bolt on me (already happened), a horse falling on me, or getting my foot caught in the stirrup when I fall off.

I think my biggest fear on the ground is having a horse spook and run, or hurt himself, or both. I can just see one getting onto the main road, where cars go fifty miles an hour...
In the saddle, I think a horse rearing, or throwing a BIG buck. I can handle little bucks, but big ones...and rearing, well, never been through that before and I hope I never will.
I don't think I'm actually afraid of having a horse take off on me, because it's happened a couple times-not from a standstill, and not full out galloping or anything, but I was trotting and asked for a canter and the horse just took off.
So rearing, bucking, and horses running away. LOL, it's a semi-long list. But I'm not afraid of getting stepped on, or of jumping, or any of that...I think it'd suck to have a horse fall on you, but really we could go on and on and come up with five pages worth of different bad thigns that could happen. I try to not psych myself out, and just be alert and careful.

Jeda did this when I first brought her home, we had just started to open the gate and she freaked snapped the buckle on her lead and rushed backwards almost squashing my mum under the gate... IT WAS SCARY!!!

My biggest horse fear is fear itself.I dont want to ever be so afraid that I wont even climb in the saddle or hang around my horse.
So I guess its being paranoid!

Leading a horse over something and the horse jumping and knocking me over.

This happened with me and Sunny once, I had had her for about 8 months. We went on a trail ride (just me and her) about 5 miles from home. My stirrup came off near a stream and landed in it, so I hopped off and went in to get it. Well, Sunny must have thought I was walking ACROSS the stream, and she jumped it and knocked me over and into the water. It was in like November, so it was freeeeezing. She spooked and took off into the woods, and it took me an hour to find and catch her. I was by myself and with no cell phone. Scary. That'll learn me!
