Yet another issue

I posted a thread on here a while ago, about my mare that had been very sick, not able to put weight on, she went from a body score of about a 3 down to a 1-1 1/2 ......she had metal, petrolium, and weed killer in her system...(It was from a property she used to be at) this made it hard for her to digest vitamins, minerals, basically anything, she is only 11 yrs but she looked very old, depressed and uptight.
She was put on a grain and herb diet, to gently get her digestive system working properly, so she could digest everything....she is slowely on the mend and starting to gain a little weight, is less stressed, but still looks old and a little depressed...it will take some time.
Not long after being on the diet she cut her back leg, it swelled up and got slightly infected, we tended to that and it is on the mend as well.
Now after all she has been through, she has lice.....not happy , I believe she has got it from the ponies, in the paddock next to her. I have spoken to the owners of the ponies and she is going to de-lice them, I hope.
On top of that we have to move her from the paddock, as the owner has it up for sale.
Feel like this is never going to end for her. Poor girl she has not had a break.
Sorry I have gone on for so long, guess I just wanted to vent a little.

Not at this stage, we want to see how the diet goes first...she has had so many toxins in her system we where concerned, to much, to quick may cause more issues......and giving her injections will cause more stress on her body.
But I will keep that in mind.....Thank you.

Pantha11, I am so sorry to hear about all of the troubles your mare has gone through. You must really be at your wits end. I am glad to hear that she is healing. Poor girl. Thank you for the update on her condition. I have been thinking about her. Here's hoping she is through with the bad, and moving on to become better/healthier than ever !!!! ALL THE BEST !!!
