| Senior Member+ | SO... if it will take urine stains out of carpeting... and it's made up of enzymes (no chemicals)... wouldn't it be logical that Nature's Miracle would be effective in getting yellow tails less... yellow?? The WonderHorse is 4 weeks out from his big debut... and nothing I've tried is getting us even close to being presentable. QuickSilver and Cowboy Magic Shine In Yellow Out are good on the body...but NOTHING seems to work on his tail!! Thoughts? Ideas?? Anyone?? |

| Senior Member+ | Hmmmmm... I don't know. Have you ever tried whiteners such as WOW! or Lucky Braids? The WOW! is about the same price as the Lucky Braid's, but you get twice as much. I know that it works well on removing stains on the coat, but I've never used it on a white tail. Whatever you do, DO NOT use bleach or any bleach mixture... my friend and I had it suggested to us (probably about 8 or 9 years ago) and stupid us tried it and ended up with a nasty straw-bleached yellowy tail I would wash it with Orvus paste or a good whitening shampoo after dousing it with WOW! and giving it a few minutes to soak in. If that doesn't work, I have heard that Borax works well for whitening (basically Oxy-clean without the name attached

| Senior Member+ | Laundry Blueing, I used it on the white socks and feathers of the clyde crosses that I groomed, and it worked (those horses lived out in a paddock/pasture all the time, unless it was the night before a show, and they were always in muck! Cathy

| Senior Member | hmmm... the cowboy magic stuff always worked for me.. but there was one time that her tail was realllllly gross.. it was when i first got her and she was at a salebarn for a month or 2 before that... not many people are gunna like this but i used a diluted bleach water mixture and was verrrrry careful to get it on the tailbone or her skin. I let it sit for like 2 mins watching it and holding it out off her body. then i rinsed it real well, shapooed it twice with quicsilver, conditioned it twice, leaving it in for about 10 min, then put in a leave in conditioner and a moisterizing spray. It was blinding white! and i had no problems. no hair loss, no rash, no dry skin or hair, no nothing. |

| Senior Member+ | I would think oxi clean would work. It's supposed to be all natural (though that definately does not mean safe). And works on the principle of releasing O3 (as opposed to O2 which we breathe) molecules. |
