Yearling colt needs a name! Please look.

I need a name for my (almost) Yearling stud paint colt, we just bought him the other day, he was a really great deal! the person wanted $400 for him but let us take him for $150 instead, he is a very well behaved boy, he leads, catches and will even lay with you. we are getting him gelded asap. he has no idea he is a "stallion", he lives with 2 mares right now who care for him like there own. here are some pictures, i dont have any conformation shots yet. when i do ill post more. Even though it doesnt look it, he has a very refined head, im surprised, he even swims in a weanling halter, his sire is a paint and his dam is a foundation bred quarter horse. Im looking for a barn name and a show name to register him with. as soon as i get him home, im going to start desensitizing him all i can.

ETA: change of title.

Thanks Sassy_Frazzle! His name is barn name is Dodgen, he was going to be the prev. owners barrel horse. His registered name was going to be Dodgen Barrel Odie or something like that, it means Dodgeing Barrels In Spanish? His full name doesnt have to include his barn name, ill take any names, Im surprised that nobody else has responded yet.

Ill take any names and decide from the ones you got, I would sit here for hours and read through names. thats how bad I need one. I cant believe that i didnt get more posts, or even lookie loos. if i got the chance to name someones horse, I would put in my input. i will also take barn names. Though from your full names, i like the name Red or Lil. red for now.

Why, thanks, I thought Red suited your horse. It suits basically all sorrels, but something about him said "Red" LOL.

I love naming horses, but I'm not the greatest at barn names. My best are Dacotah and Sasparilla. Oh, and Doctress was one, but her reg, name was Double Docs Pistol.

There was a tall, black horse at my trainer's that we didn't know the name of, so we just called him "horse". His owner came one day and said she had decided to name him Gerome. Odd name, but it fit the horse. haha

Google horse names!

I always do that and then print of like 10 pages of names then read through and highlight the names I like the best. Then go back through and write down the highlighted names on the side of the paper, then I consider what kind of names would fit in with the sire and dams names.

That is just how I name my babies.

Now for names I have:
Chaps
Kai aka GJ Lady Kai
Zorro
Romeo
And each one of those fits their names perfectly!
