"Red" is what his barn name is now. he is almost 12hh. like i said, the pictures are extremely bad showing how tiny his head is, but he is wearing a miniature halter right now. his weanling halter is as small as it can get and it is still large on him lol. will he always have a small head?

I think horses' heads grow as they do. My gelding had a pretty small head and so did his dam. I used the same halter on him as I did for her, but now he's nearly 16 HH and I have to say that his head cannot fit into that halter...No matter how much I stretch it.

I do believe her head never grew though.
Just wait and find out.. sometimes stuff like that'll surprize ya!

How about Bottle Rocket since you got him so close to the 4th? Or Rock 'Em Sock 'Em or Rocket Socket We always called my little wiener dog the red rocket but I think that may have a weird connotation (esp. since he isn't gelded yet! HA HA)

He's cute!!! Congrats on your new little guy... and I do mean little! Were those pics taken as a yearling or a weanling?

Do you have links to his sire and dams pedigrees? Or do you not care if any of their names are included in his?

His head will probably stay on the small side. It will get bigger, he'll just have a more refined one.

My gelding seemed like he was forever outgrowing his halters. His dam (my QH mare) has a huge head and he took after that.

I've got Sizzlin in my head... something something Sizzlin or Sizzlin something... I'll keep thinking

Since he was a rescue horse taken from a breeder I do not know his pedigree and im not looking to find out, the rescuers had to get a restraining order because the breeders kept trying to get him back and started to get violent so thats not something i want to get myself into. I only want him registered for Identification purposes so I have something backing up hes mine if the breeders happen to find him or he gets stolen etc. If it wasnt the fact that Ive heard people on HGS have horses named Buckwheat I would totally name him that, He will find a long stem of grass or hay and just leave it hanging in his mouth. I would name him somthing like Lil Red Buckwheat or somthing.

It was sort of funny the other day we watched a horse movie that this womans dressage horse went blind and so she was showing a famous ladys horse and its name was California Red, Mom wanted me to call him Mainely Red... lol mom and her names. I cant remember the title of the movie though, sorry.

Sizzlin Hot Property

Did I see somewhere his barn name is Red?
