Talking Yeah! I've got horses to train!!

I've got horses to ride/train for the summer!! Yeah!!

I bought my ottb in january this year, and though his schooling is getting a lot better (its pretty ok now), i've been really wishing I had a horse that I could ride sometimes who was advanced just so I could re-establish everything for myself.

At the moment I've been riding other people's horses on occasion, but its always the green or naughty ones. I still love doing that, BUT one of my instructor's adult students has just bought a horse that apaprently is impecabbly schooled in the basics, but needs more work on his lateral work and to start for advanced movements like lead changes, counter canter etc. And the woman who owns him is really nervous sooooo....guess who gets to ride him? me!! and no the guess who was not a pun.hehe

I'm also being asked to train a 14.3hh TB pony who is also well schooled, just messing her rider about a lot (personally I think a lot of it has to do with too much feed and not enough exercise).

Haha, i'm really happy about this. a) because I just enjoy riding horses and I like seeing them progress and being able to help other people, b) I get to improve my riding with other people's horses, and c) a schooled horse is going to feel like a limo plus I might even get paid..to ride..what a life.haha

Just wanted to share As soon as I'm riding again I've now got three regular horses to ride for the summer and one of them indefinitely. Yaaaaay!!!

That is great. I love riding the well-trained ones that need exercise.
