Yay! Rescued Herme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Herme is a 9 year old qh, 15.1 hh, bay, star shaped like an eagle or a wolf, now I'm leasing him!!! So excited, pics coming on either Fri. Sat. or Sun., Also, he probably had a mustang cross somewhere in his family.
Any ideas for getting him back to health/training ideas?
THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Already heard! Might I ask why you think he may have mustang in him? Can't wait for pics! What kind of training ideas are you looking for?

Well, we'll need pics, your vet should enlighten you to WHY he collapsed, and advise you further.

What his condition like, feed, parasite control, feet, pasture, tell us everything!

'cause he's short stocky and looks kinda like a mustang, if he were a litttle shorter he would look like my friend's mustang!

condition-not so good, but will get alot better
vet- said due to over working(collapsed while being galloped up a steep, looong hill)
pics- sometime this weekend
feed- almost right, but he may well soon be over weight with the treats he's gonna get from me!
parasites-none, got him wormed and everything.
feet-barefoot, could use a little trim though
pasture- some trees, run-in shed, large cooled/heated automatic waterers
place-living with me, moving him on friday!!!!!!!!!!

What in the world is all this drama? So much confusion and plot twists with this horse!

I'm always happy to hear a good recue story. Good luck.

When you live with horses, I guess that drama is part of your life too!

Good news...

What are your plans with him, eventually?

Do you have your own land?

Will you compete him eventually or anything like that?

English pleasure, endurance, and to try to get him back to jumping, he used to be able to jump 3' 5"

Yeah, 2.5 acres, a goat, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and (now) 1 horse.

Yep, defenetly gonna try to get him back into competing. He was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo great before he was abused, he placed almost every time! And he'll be fine for it to, so said the vet last month.
