WP tack?

Ok, so I can't find either of my rule books, but can you show WP in PtHA/APHA with a rear cinch on? I usually ride my boy in one everyday and was just curious. We don't have to use one...just wanted to make sure though

Also, I found a Circle Y show saddle that's really nice and wanted to double check that $375 is a good price for it? It's only been sat in once. Thanks again.

I believe it's Circle Y anyway, I'll ask the woman to double check.

I don't believe there is any rule against it but, personally, I wouldn't.

Back cinch is out of style for WP and not necessary for it anyway.

I'd be highly skeptical of any saddle under $500. I'm looking for a used WP saddle right now, and for a decent looking used one, the cheapest I've seen are around 900-1000$.

Yeah i just bought $1500 used Dale Chavez show saddle...eeeeek thats a lot of money. I work for the lady... and so 300 a month goes toward it.

But to make sure you get nice quality, i really wouldn't go for that saddle. it'll be worth it in the end. Find a used show saddle. tacktrader.com maybe

Tacktrader has literally DOZENS of nice saddles for around $1000. I was surprised...I was figuring I'd have to be around $1500 to get one. Too bad I have to wait for my income tax to come in

well thats good you found some. trust me... i've bought cheap saddles and it's not worth it. they usually don't fit most horses, don't fit you right, and don't last long. I've had to sell mine (took way too much effort lol), and ended up having to buy a nice one anyway. They also can mess with your eq as well. thats not fun, when you're fighting a saddle in a class.

Well, I'm going to look at a vintage Tex Tan Hereford on Friday. It belongs to a friend of my trainer's and she'll do payments. Unfortunately with Nick going to the hospital on Monday and having to call the vet out 2 times prior, I may just have to give up until after December. We'll see what happens.
