I would NEVER sell Halo, not for any amount of money in the world. I've had her since the moment she came into this world. She is the reason I'm able to get up most days. I could not imagine life without her.

The rest of my horses, I love very much. While I would be very sad to sell them, I could do so if I needed to.

Everything is for sale for the right price.. I would sell norman if someone came along. I have always felt this way.

I think that most of us can find it easy to have the "I'll never sell" sentiment and even mean it with all our hearts. But if we are being absolutely honest, it probably should be something more like, "I'll never sell if there is any way to avoid it without hurting my horse." Stuff happens. I learned a long time to never say never whenever possible...there is always the chance, no matter how small, that we might be forced to do something disappointing, but necessary.

I love Rhett more than I would care to admit, but if I was too busy to even give him the proper care and didn't have the money, I would sell him ONLY to a good home and to people that I know well and that promise to send me regular photos and updates.

You see, I'm kind of facing this dilemma now. I am currently studying to attend medical school but I am toying with the idea of taking two years to complete a post-bac program to up my chances of acceptance. If I get into medical school, hopefully on the east coast, then I wouldn't know what to do with Rhett.

If I can, I would have him moved out to Montana to live on my friend's mom's ranch. She races QH's up there and I imagine Rhett would really love all of that open space. Then maybe when I'm done with medical school and my internship, I can go get him and bring him back home with me.

Or, I will just full lease him to someone else while I'm at school. If I had to sell him, I'd sell him to a young girl who is looking for her first horse to love and adore. Only then would he get the attention he deserves.

Well said, I swore I would never sell my horses because they are my life.. I picked up a second job to keep my horses, but now due to an accident and rising medical bills I am forced to sell my horses because the money from the second job is now paying medical bills... It absolutely makes me sick to my stomach, but sometimes you have to do whats right for the animal...

Umm...no

It would definately be a no. I've had Havana for three years, despite everyone I know pushing me to sell her. People around here think that you just can't have a pet, it has to make money. She has taught me everything I know about horses. Here she is, a muddy mess

Some of my horses I would sell without a problem, and am trying to sell them now
I am attached to all of them, and have fun sotries for all of them, but at the end of the day I am trying to start a business.

There are only two horses on my property I would absolutely not sell, unless the price had A LOT of 99999's at the end of the price-
My beloved NSH mare Rumor
and my Straight Egyptian stud colt Amani

I love my horses. love them like they were my children! but i have a husband, daughter, mortgage, and we run 2 small businesses. if it came to losing the house or selling the horses....well that's kind of a no brainer. i will always do everything in my power to keep my girls but if (God forbid) we go into a financial crisis, i would do my best to find my hossies the best homes possible.
It's funny because i was at my lesson today and my instructor LOVES LOVES LOVES my mare Jewel. She told me that if i ever needed to sell her for whatever reason, she would buy her in an instant. that made me feel good to know that if for some reason i did need to rehome her, she would only be a minute away from me and i could visit and ride her anytime!!
