I say "You go girl"

QH: I think most riders "know" their level of experience and would not jump into breaking a horse if they dont even know how to ride one. I agree that you need to have experience or get help but Im sure most people know thier own levels.

Then I say go for the PMU mare. Besides how fun... "a grab bag" or suprise baby! So cute!!! Take your trainer too with you! So fun!!!

Good luck!

Super_Trooper - I would not be so sure. I have seen lots of "know it alls" that think because they have riden a horse, they are a horse trainer and therefore able to break a baby! It is quite scary and sad if you ask me (for the horse). It never ends up good!

Im sure there are....however, I like to treat everyone with respect and give the benefit of the doubt.

If I had no experience I would be AFRAID to jump into something like that!

Not to be mean, but I can't remember everything about everyone. SO I post it to be general. I guess I see things different. I have been around this forum too long to "assume" everyone can ride and ride good! I don't want to give out False information that a guest or an unexperienced person might read to say.. WOW I could get a cheap horse, train it and "be one" with it. It just doesn't work that way, at least not in my area. I see and hear all the time of 4-H first time out riders getting 2 or 3 year olds, or yearlings to "learn together" without a trainer. You mix that together, talk about dangerous!!!!
