Honestly, no. He just doesn't have that "wow!" factor, ya' know?
Does his registered first name begin with a T?

I don't know who he is, but from that picture no.
It's in black and white for one, and even though he has a nice conformation and a nice shiny coat, I don't like his eye at all, he looks 'challenging';and he doesn't have a kind eye imo LOL
Also, looking at his left front, are those a whole bunch of bumps, or just the lighting??

Neither. One singe photo does not usually " make or break" a breeding prospect for me. Now if the horse were Swaybacked, Ewe necked, and obviously crooked legged, I'd discard that one in a heartbeat, BUT for one that's decently conformed, I don't 'discard" a horse based specifically on only seeing one single photo of the horse. If I didn't KNOW ANYTHING at all about the horse. I'd ask for different photos and his pedigree and produce record and performance record. I don't look at one photo and say "oh he's nice I think I'll breed to him" and I don't look at on photo and say " well he looks ok but i'm not going to consider breeding to him.

However if I saw this

That is more likely to make me discard a stallion prospect at first glance.

(For the record I think that guy is already a gelding and I'm just using him as an example of what would turn me off as a breeding prospect)

Just becasue a horse doesn't WOW me in one photo doesn't mean I'll turn him down as a prospect if he AT least looks decent. I would ask for more info an ANY horse that I think MIGHT be ok to breed to.
That photo isn't the best, but he's not that badly conformed as to knock him out of consideration for performance events.

He's 13 in the pic, so he might well have some nicks and bumps.

I know who it is......
but if I did not, yes that picture would make me want to have a second look at performance, pedigree, and to see more pics (or to actually see the horse in person).

If I had some good bred Leo mares I most certainly would consider it!

Ok, so I know who he is too. And honestly, I never liked his confo much. He has his share of faults.

But...... let's just say I was a mare owner "back in the day" and I had those Leo bred mares. It is quite possible that I wouldn't have the fore site to be wise enough to know just how close to the brink of having some really good horses I would be if I bred those mares to him.
