Would to you breed to him? *Note added for all who have read this post*

You can all rest in peace. He is a GELDING. He was a gelding before i ever got him. I don't think I would want to own a stud. The reasons i did this thread this way was because I always thought he looked kinda like a stud and I was wondering if other people thought he would be to. He is such a sweet gelding to. He will always be my baby. BTW he's not a Appy. He's a 14.2hh, 13yo, P.O.A..

I hope I didn't break any rules by letting people think he was a stallion. I'm really really sorry if i did.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just going by confo. Would you breed to him?
It really depends on the mare. If I had a mare with a short back to complement his long back, maybe, And also if I had any desire for an appy no offense or anything
Again, depends on the mare. He has a short thick neck, long back, and steep angles. To get a nice foal you're looking at a mare with complete opposite features to hopefully complement them. But then it's still a gamble, might end up with a short backed, long thin necked choppy striding foal lol. Personally I wouldn't breed to him based off his conformation, I like a stallion to have good conformation in their own right, and from their try to tweak out choices that have a better chance on improving a flaw them or the mare do have. It could just be the pictures, but he also looks like he has a roman nose and a pig eye...both of which are signs of a stubborn or pig headed disposition (not that it's always true).
This made me laugh. He is deffenatly stubborn. I would say he does have a slight roman nose. I have never heard of a pig eye tho. What is that?
Nope. I don't like his head or neck, his back's long, he falls off in the hind awful steep, and I don't like his back legs.
based just on confo I'd be more likely to sneak into his field at night with a surgical kit to geld him than send a mare to be bred by him.
He has a long back, a weak hip and very poor hind legs. Any ONE of the three would be enough to make him not breeding worthy for me, all three of them together make for a horse that shouldnt be breeding quality in anyone's book.
I have to agree, he's not stud marerial, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings....but he is not breeding material...Cathy
