What would this saddle be worth roughly? *update post 11*

Just what the title says.

I can't find any maker's marks on this saddle. Leather is soft and supple just dusty. The tree is solid. Just wondering what this saddle would be worth. A rough guess-tamite would work.

I'd say around $250...It's not a modern style IMO.

Looks nice and solid but with not knowing the maker I would say $200-$250 tops. I like it!

I'd guess $150- 250. No name on it and not a current style.

$250 tops I bet with the market the way it is you'd probably get $100-$200 out of it.

i've been keeping an eye on western saddles on ebay (my horse goes western but primarily english so i'm not really looking to buy a western saddle yet, just looking at prices) and i think if your saddle is fully functioning and has nothing missing (and includes a girth) (and it seems to be in very good condition! beautiful saddle!) you could probably get $250-300, MAYBE a little more if you advertise right. it being a no-brand saddle isn't the end of the world as long as (if you're planning on selling it) you describe it to the best of your abilities and take plenty of pictures (like you have done).

It's very well made and should be snatched up by somebody looking for a trail saddle for a SQHB horse. Clean it up, and don't darken the color. Use Lexol Neatsfoot NF or similar product for light leather to condition it. To polish the silver or stainless lace, use Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish (auto parts sdtore, WalMaart, etc -- car care section) and Q-tips.

I can't tell on my monitor whether the tree is Ralide (molded polyethylene) or rawhide wrapped. If it's rawhide, then that's increased value so take a pic up by the top of the fenders that shows the edge of the rawhide binding on the edge of the tree. I'd say you might get $350 for it cleaned up and spotless, provided you show lots of pics that show what good condition it is in.

If it's a Ralide tree, it might be this one "The Little Wonder" #1500

Tack Collector - I planned on cleaning up. Was actually going to bring it in and do that today (out in the tack shed/feed shed/heated dog house ). I have the all those cleaning stuff you mentioned. It's what I use on my black circle y. (gotta bring that in and clean it too!) I will get a picture here as soon as I get it in of what I can see of the tree, since I have NO clue.

Tack Collector - Looks to me like it is a molded polyethylene tree. No raw-hide in sight under the fenders.
