![]() | Woolwash on horses?! I have heard from some top show people, that they use woolwash to wash their horses, mostly on greys, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this and if it works? Thanks. |

| Senior Member+ | I use woolwash on our horses. Our grey does come up rather nicely with it. Having eucalyptus oil it is good for removing stains as well as a mild fly deterent.

![]() | Cool! Thanks for the replies guys. I might try it on my grey for next show, so what does it actually do? Make them clean and soft? Did you just put it on the body? Or tail also. And do you avoid the saddle area, does it make it slippery? |

| Banned | No it wont make her slippery (not that ive ever found). I cant recall but i dont think my guys ever went super fluffy from it, but try it out well before a show so you know how it will work on your horse. Its just a good general cleaner. It will clean well, and leave a fresh smell. It lathers up well, you can slap it on willy nilly like any other shampoo. Its been great for ithces for us, its not a miracle cure, but it does help and for the price, why not! The brand i buy is Martha's Wool Wash, its a more natural brand. Im not sure but im betting there are cheaper versions of it out there, and they may contain other substances you would want to put on your horse. So read the label just to double check. |
