LOL, when it comes to horses I don't think there is such a thing! You do the best you can and still take your chances!
Some horses can, and have, gotten hurt on so many of the different types of horse-safe fence. Wood, woven wire, vinyl, rubber...yes, some horses still manage to injure themselves on it. wink

AMEN Sandra!!! We have 4 strand vinyl electric tape and they still manage to go through the fence on ocassion and scuff up a leg on the steel fence post. LOL. What is a person supposed to do, get rubber fence posts? LOL!!

They can be galloping around then slip and fall, etc. They're definitely accident prone.

Not been on for a few days, but 'Hoof Fell Off', anybody know what is happening here. I don't agree with horses being stabled(stalled) all the time, it's not natural, they are a hearding animal, and need to be given time out, not to metion vices, as Sandra says, not matter how hard you try to make your place safe, they will get into mischeif, but to keep them stalled all the time, would rather take the risk.

Would be interested to know, what realy did actually fall off this horse though. Hate wire, use post and rail, and electric fencing myself, would not have barbed wire anywhere near.

jrmorgan:
You stall all of the time? Why? That is so mean! Horses need to be outside and graze and roam! I think ill start a new thread about stalling and stuff!

WEll Said

Horses are healthier and happier if they live out. It is a proven fact that as long as they are cared for and have forage(Hay and shelter, and with others they are happier healthier.
