Winter Coat

Hey, I was just wondering if show judges mark you down for having a horse with a winter coat. My horse has arab in him, so he doesn't get real fluffy but he will get a bit of a winter coat.

I would clip the horse, but that's just me!...unless you have no where to keep her warm, then don't clip him Good luck at the show!

If it's not a breed show the judges should understand if your horse is still a little fuzzy for the first shows of the year. Around here we have "fuzzy horse shows" and "hairy horse shows" with an actual "hairiest horse" class. They're just tiny season-starters, but they're fun. Anywho, the judges SHOULD understand. Make sure everything else is spick & span though.

I think it should be fine judges understand that horses get fuzzy coats in the winter and not much can be done unless you have a heated barn. I think you should be OK unless you are going in a really big Class A show.

WOW Doyalikethemoon!!! Nice avatar LOL!!!!!

Doyalikethemoon why do ya have a tummy for your pic? LOL
I wish I had a tum like that LOL.

Carab Most judges in Montana would not dock you at an open show this time of year for a fuzzy horse. But thats in MT. Good luck!!!
