I just trialed the 500 this weekend and I found that it had no curve to it like a normal saddle. My horse does have an unusual shape; however, it did not fit either of my friend's horses either, and I was using the interchangeable gullet system. When I say it has no curve to it, I mean that where the gullet goes, it is just straight down/completely flat and does not conform to the horse's back at all. I think this is a result of having the interchangeable gullets. The saddle was very comfortable for me though. I like the position it put me in and the seat was very comfortable. I was actually intending to buy a wintec 2000 but the store didnt have one to trial. But I still sat in the 2000 at the store and it was really comfortable. The seat had more padding and I especially liked the equisuede that the 2000 had. The lady at the store said that there was no difference for the horse though (between the 500 and the 2000). So I don't think that the 2000 might have more of a curvy form to it to conform to my horse's back. Keep in mind though that my horse is very difficult to fit so I don't want to discourage you from trying them on your horse because they might not work for me but be good for you.

I've got a 500 and love it, but will be selling it soon. I'm pretty sure someone just had the same thread, you might want to try searching for it.

Well, I like the 2000 - but my friend had one that was AWFUL. A girl at my barn has the 500, and honestly I really like it. It won't beat a good 2000, but compared to the bad one I rode in - it's much better. I like the equisuede too, though!
