Willy and Joe still going ( PICS)

I've never had to keep my horses fit this late in the season.

It's November for goodness sake. My work should be done. But Jess has other plans. She is riding on the Eq team at college and her University is having a home meet this weekend. The home team has to supply all the horses, so Willy and Joe are going, hair and all. I've tried to keep them fit up, but this is the time of year they get their 'tick' look.

Here they are racing towards me in the pasture thinking I wouldn't dare risk my life and walk out there with no carrots. It's deer season and every store is selling carrots in 50 pound bags. Willy and Joe look forward to hunting season every year.

Joe is such a little tick boy. He never looses that boyish charm.

I don't have to work very hard to get a good pic of Willy. He's so easy to look at. Isn't the sky pretty in the second pic where I didn't edit it out? It's been raining, sleeting, snowing and crazy all day.

Anyways, here they are. I don't think they look too fat for eq team this weekend huh? Joe will be used in every class from walk/trot beginner all the way through advanced.

Willy will probablly do the more advanced stuff because he is spur trained and beginners don't quite get the spur stuff. I'll let Jess decide. I"m just the hauling service.

Wouldn't it be funny if Jess drew her own horse to show?

Such handsome boys, I still can't believe that giant is the tiny little foal we all watched grow up.

So... how about body shaving for the eq team.. I can give you a WWII pattern

Ya, no body shaving for me. Do you have any idea how hard it would be to keep up with shaved horses in Northern Michigan?

But I do like the WW11 pattern. Don't give me any ideas.

Your boys are such stud muffins

They are both so gorgeous! Joe is really such a gentleman, he seems to be so laid back. I love the sky in the second picture of Willy, how has he been anyway?

Willy's good. He did some high school eq team stuff and now he's going to do collegiate eq team stuff. Other than that, not much, just gaining weight and running around with Joe.

They look GREAT. I bet Jess is super excited to sede them again and show them off.

As for Jess drawing her own horse the only downfall is she might be working on the "horse" instead of her Equitation for the class!!!

I was just thinking about your boys the other day! It has been awhile since an update! It's nice to see them just being horses. They look so snugly. They will be stars this weekend. I'm sure you are looking forward to seeing Jess.

Ak, I was just noticing that Willy has caught up to Joe's but. Their hips share the same consistency of jello. I've never noticed how similar they are.
