I dont know why you threw stones at me. It wasnt a tangent.
I was under the impression that you were from the US. Apparently I was wrong? Most horse people in the US would automatically know that the BLM, wild horses, anything of that nature is in reference to mustangs. I also believe that if you go to the link posted, it is very obvious as well.

Anyone that goes off on anything that they are not at least semily educated on, imo, deserves to get slammed for it.

whoa y'all wasn't trying to start a brawl ROFL Really though, was only trying to post a link in reference to the fact that there are also BLM adoptions/auctions just like Crazi went to in my area as well I just couldn't remember where the holding facility was when I posted on Crazi's thread.

Personally, I wouldn't adopt a mustang at this point in my life because I don't have the skills or financial resources to properly raise and train one but I think having a program in place that provides an alternative to these horses is wonderful!

Slammed?

That is the thing about opinions. Everyone has one. My opinion is that no one deserves to get "slammed" for expressing views. "Slamming" someone is a personal attack. Debate is good, and when properly moderated, should be the issue being addressed by providing points and counter-points based on fact. Perhaps "slammed" was a poor choice of words.

Agreed.

Although you were misinformed, I appreciate your concern for the horses nonetheless Sea Ha. You seem very compassionate. Look up some info on the horses to inform yourself, its very necessary to trap horses before they starve themselves.

Its too bad some members feel the need to viciously attack others for no real reason other than misinformation. Intent should be more important than that and her intent was GOOD.

I agree with you MyBabyTex, you guys didnt realize that she was loking out for the horses she just had the wrong idea about adopting wild horses, she should not have been slammed because of lack of information.
Seaha I hope you read up on this program and see that it is a vey helpfull program to the wild horses, its better than the ranchers in the same area's shooting the horses because they are eating the feed the run their stock on!

I personally did not 'slam' SeaHa for expressing an opinion I DID however object to her flying off the handle on a subject she had obviously NOT yet educated herself on! NOW totally to her credit, she DID ask for more information so she COULD educate herself and to that I am more then happy to provide the means and I always say knowledge is power! IF after understanding the program and understanding WHY horses are being removed from the range she still has an opinion against the adoption program, at least she now has a BASIS of information from which she formed that opinion...

BUT to come out and shoot from the hip (WHICH I have done myself so it's NOT like we're all perfect! but when I do, I can expect people to say WAIT a minute to me as well) on a topic you're not particularly versed in, can cause more harm then good.

When I see something that could cause more public uproar about a topic that IS very near and dear to my heart and that I am involved in, i will step in and make an effort to correct and educate.

SeaHa most certainly does NOT have to agree with the program if she so chooses not to but she needs to at least understand what it is about and WHY it's in place before having an opinion on the topic.
