Beowulf came like that, and he answers to it the pasture, so I didn't change it.

However, for his show name I chose "Mr. Brightside" as it is the best song from the Killers and it just seems to fit him

Bonnie was named cuz when we got her we got a gelding too and they were inseperable (sp) so my son named them Bonnie and Clyde. Well the gelding we sold and Bonnie kept her name. Our older son named Fizz why we don't know? And Daisy I was trying to come up with a name my husband liked other then Cheeky. LOL

Romeo came with his name. He knows it and it fits perfectly. His original owners were planning on naming him Waterford but once he was born and they meet him he couldn't be anything but a Romeo. Or at least that's what they told me. Romeo's original owners are great guys. they sold him because they were figghting over how to train him and it was causing trouble in their relationship. But they loved him very much and even though he had another owner between them and me, they sought me out at a show. And gave me a ton of baby pics and even his first premium medal from his keuring. Great, great guys!

The curious thing with Romeo's name is he's a Belgian Warmblood and they have a set letter for naming foals each year but somehow they accepted Romeo even though the letter for his year was "W".

Ginger and Bau both came with there names and they knew them so we didn't want to change them.
Kodak got his name because I though he was just picture perfect so everyone jokingly started calling him Kodak and it just stuck.
Diesel got his name because when he was born he had a black mark on the side of his face that looked like he had layed in a puddle of gas so we named his diesel.
Zoey has the most meaningful name for me. Her name in greek means life. I named her this firstly because she is lucky to be alive, she had to make it through so many obstacles to even enter this world. Secondly I have been hoping, praying and waiting for her my whole life. I've dreamt of her sense I was a little girl. So when I saw that bundle of joy in the corner of the stall I knew that she was always going to be my Zoey, my dream come true, my life.

My foals name is My Specail Suprise Inside ( barn name is Snickers) we bpught her dam almost 2yrs ago out of a bad situation and when we went to go pick her up the people said "oh by the way she got in with our stud she might be pregnant" so we brought her home vet checked and healthy ( she gained over 300lbs) and 10 months later we had a beautiful filly. It is really amazing she was even born though because her dam was 14yr madien mare and was very underwieght was ptu through alot of stress in the first month of her pregnancy ( she was sitting in the trailer she was pulling so hard) and shew as moved t a different farm and patured with totally different horses and she still kept the baby.

Another foal we had a swedish warmblood filly we named her Everlasting Hope because when she was a month old and got really sick she almost died. she was sick for 1 1/2 yrs and we always hoped Hope would get better. And she did she is now a healthy 4yr old , but unfortunatly we had to guve her away when ashe was 6months because we couldn't afford her care we had put 10,000 in her in 5 months.

We had a nother filly the same year but she was very healthy. Her name had to start with an "I" because her sire is IDEAL and I really liked the name faith and it fit her eprsonality so she was Immeasurable Faith.

Dilly cane with his name.

Chance because he needed a second chance, the guy who had him was a good guy but didn't really take propper care of him he came skinny and was infested and had a really thick coat and it was the end of summer.

Destiny is the mare that was in foal when we bought her I am not really sure why we named her that but it fits her. She now trusts people, because we helped her deliver the foal and after we did that her attitude towards us changed alot she ismuch sweeter and alot more willling people who don't know her think she is a witchy old mare but I think she is a sweety she always talks in the morning and calls to me when I leave.

Doc was a boarder so he came with his name, His owner decided he didn't want him anymore and threatened to take him to the meat man and my mom pretty much said over my dead body, and we now own Doc a 28yr old arab/paint gelding

Aww thats a good name that was the first horse I ever hads name (Mr. Brightside) I was obsesded with that song! He was and arab cross and a dark dark color with a flaxin mane and tail. He was beautiful but wild.

Quita came to me as Frick (her brother was Frack) so thats what I called her for a few weeks and I HATED it but thought it bad luck to change it, then a few weeks later everytime I would talk to her I called her "Chickie"... wich lead to the show name "Chiquita Banana Splitz".(Which gave me Quita out of Chiquita) Then I got her papers and saw her parenst names and didnt like anything that I found to put together with them and decided on "keepen er Quita". So Quitas name IS Chiquita, some people call her Quita some call her Chiquita...and I sometimes call her nana (from banana) or Quita nana...Lol. SHe knows those names and comes to them! Her show name this year is "Zans costal Beach"... so call her what you like just be nice...Lol. (at our old barn they called her "one eye" because she is blind in one eye...poor nana!)Lol.

Cowboy came as Gerodamo...Lol. Which fits him now that we know him but at the time he was shy, Cowboy fits him though shes a sweet polite southern kinda guy...so Cowboy it is!

And Misty was April when she came to us... which neither names fit her...she should be names Deoblo or somthing like that!!!Lol.

Trixie came with her name, but I didn't like Trixie so I called her Trix, which she knows her name like a dog lol. And Dude knows his name very well too. He came with that name. Its funny because the previous owners couldn't figure out a name for him, and they had two sons who whenever went down to the horses, they always said, " Hey Dude." so Dude became his name because he was used to be called Dude whenever the boys came down lol

Lucky's registered name is Lucky Krews and that's what he previous owners called him. It also stuck because when we were bringing him home (in the middle of winter) he fell out of the horse trailer (icy road, long story) and was lucky that he didn't get hurt.

Wintari came with the name, it's his registered name, so it stuck.

Dragon we named Dragon Fly because his grandmother's (Ladybug) foals are all named with bug in the name (Strawbug (my mom's horse, came with the name), Bugsy, Redbug, etc.) and so we had to come up with a bug name. His half sister (by sire) out of Ladybug is named Crikette (at least while we had her).

Graceful Victory came with the name. (her registered name) The owners called her Grace, but that is our cat's name so we changed it to Vicky (or Victory).
