Why does my QH have a TB butt????

Timmy is five now and I have been riding him on a regular basis to get him ready for show season. But I can not seem to build up his hind quarters. He is 15.2 and has a "lighter" build, but he looks so week in the back end. He rides fine and doesn't seem unfit. Are some QH's just built that way?????

Yes, a lot of AQHA breeders are leaning towards a leaner build. Go do a search for AQHA's for sale...you'll see that there are a lot of them out there looking that way. If you want the "traditional" QH look, try looking for "Foundation" bred stock. Hope that helps!

I don't care if he has a 'standard' QH butt or not...Timmy is one handsome man!
