For one, good quality leather would not sell for that cheap and for two, you can tell by looking at it, it has a rough paper looking quality to it.

If the tree IS twisted, it can create pressure points on the spine and cause a sore back. The saddle if not going to tear and be unsafe, it's just not the best quality.

You know, I really dont know. For what it's worth, I would purchase "good quality" tack when your starting out, that way you have something that is going to last for you, and as long as you take care of it, you will have a very good quality saddle forever. It sounds expensive in the begining, but it's worth it.

I really dont think it would be worth fixing a twisted tree on a $60.00 Saddle...but thats just me.

You can tell from the top view pic that the tree is very twisted. If you can see it by just looking, it's horrible. The left side of the saddle is longer than the right side (from front to back).

Yikes!

You cannot fix a twisted tree. I agree from above the saddle looks severely twisted. My saddle fitter (who is also a certified equine massage therapist) told me that an ill fitting saddle creates pressure points, restricting flood flow and causes damage in as little as twenty minutes of riding. Its really unsafe for the horse and unsafe for the rider--twisted saddles cause pain, which in turn could cause the horse to act up and unseat the rider from what is already an unbalanced platform. Its not worth it. Not even for occassional riding.
