I'd be nervous to have to go in the ring with a slinky still on my horse's head. I can just see it "really sorry Mr. Judge! But I couldn't get it off. Could you just pretend it's not there and focus on my horse from the neck down?" Lol.

I guess if you dont get nervous you dont understand those that do. I dont get nervous at all so I have no clue why anyone would. But then I'm not in their shoes so I dont know how they feel.

i don't get nervous as in scared, but nervous as in excited. i've done a ton of shows, and even if it's like my 30th show, i still wake up at 5, get everything thrown together in the car, groom my horse to perfection, watch everyone, learn my course hours before i go into the ring, get on and walk around, and then just anticipate the whole thing lol

I hardly ever got nervous when I rode barrel shows or fun shows, but always got nervous at pleasure and hunter over fences. I guess because the one I knew it was mostly up to my horse and the other up to me! I never wanted to be dead last in anything and I knew my horse was fast enough to put me in the top five, but in the pleasure classes, there was always someone better and competition was at the point where you felt you had to be near perfect just to place in the ribbons. More pressure to succeed I guess.

mmm, I get nervous because I want to do well, I expect a lot out of myself and my horse and I work extremly hard both in riding and in my job to compete, and when I do well its just makes everything worth it by doing well it can either be winning the class or simply having a great go

i get nervous with jack because when we show western, our neck reining isnt that fab. usually our classes are huge too which means lots of steering. so i get worried about that. i used to get nervous showing my NSH because she was psycho. it was hard to keep her together sometimes. shed be going perfectly then all the sudden she is rearing up. i used to have to drink some adult beverages sometimes to try and make myself relax before going into the ring.

When I used to show goats I HATED showing, but loved it.Weird I know.I hated it cuz you had to wear all white and you get some embarrasing moments when your goat decides he'd like to chew on you while the judge is looking at you, then theres selling the little goat you love.I loved the butterflies before a show!I won Rate of Gain Last year.My goat was 135 IBS!!Hopefully I show my gelding next year.I can only imagine what it's like!
