Show me yours and tell me about them.

After our latest horse fiasco we decided to sell Amber and put what we make under the mattress and add money here and there to save for a new horse. She has always wanted an arab so we decided that was the way we would go. Just a horse for drill and trail riding.

Well, he's not personally mine but the barn I work/ride at is leasing him right now.

He has a great overall personality except the fact he hates being groomed

He gets all fidgety and moves around.. except when his mane or tail is being combed or his feet are being picked

Great listener, a good mover (gotta love those Arabian trots)
and his canter is amazingly smooth

Well I have 1 right now but have had many. I actually got Fiesta from another member here on HGS. She is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, little gal you could meet. She is absolutely a ppl horse and a princess too! I trail ride with her, but in her past she has been a show horse and mommy.

She is the most willing of all the horses I have, not afraid to try new things, but most of all she will take garbage the first time from an inexperienced rider then the next time teach them to do it right or it won't work

She is honest as the day is long and will give it her all!

Here is Fiesta she is 24 this year.

I have three arabX

This is Snickers she is 1/4 arab I love her to death. Snickers is extremely easy to work with and she is very smart and willing. She is not mean but will try and see what she can get away with with new people.

this is Shiloh we don't know what he's crossed with but he def. an arabX He can be difficult at times he is 7urs old and has never been trained not even halter broke and was abused and neglected up until he was 4yrs old. I've had him for 3 months and now that he's learning to trust me he is much easier to work with and be around he would never hurt andyone and he has a heart of gold he tries his heart out for me and tries the best he can to be a good boy .

and then our 30 yr old Doc he is the gentelest sweetest old man you could ever hope to find he does not have amean bone in his body. He LOVES little kids and takes great care of them. He is truloy worht his wieght in gold. He is the sweetest boy you could ever hope to meet.

In my experience a well bred arabian mare is gentle and willing and will do almost anything for her owner. Arabs are naturally curious people ponies and a joy to be around if they are trained correctly. They are highly intelligent and may have a few more quirks than other horses but a good one is loyal and eager to please and does not have a mean bone in its body.

This is Biba the mare I've been riding the last six months 20 years old and still going strong. We lost her dam at the grand old age of 30 on new years eve.

And Biba's one and only son Zouki a 6 year old stallion, again not a mean bone in his body and learnt so fast.

I dont ride these guys anymore, but thats because I dont live in the area anymore (or wont in a week anyway!)
