Who can make saddle pads?

I've officially given up hope looking for extra long saddle pads My saddle is really long front to back because the flaps are extremely far forward to accommodate my long legs, and I can't find any saddle pads that will fit under it, so I was wondering if someone would like to make some for me!

Please, let me know how much you will charge for a saddle pad that's about 28'' along the spine, and has a "normal" drop (I can give more specific measurements later). I would like 4-5 AP/CC pads and 2-3 dressage pads.

Thank you!

If you have a sewing machine they are easy to do.

I wish, but my mom has a strict no-sewing rule - only since she can't do it herself

Seriously, though, the last time I tried to sew, I ended up cutting what was supposed to be my pajama pants into thirds!

I can... but I simply don't have the time. (you should see the mountain of sewing projects I've got lined up just for myself that I haven't gotten done yet).

Seamsright will make them for you:

www.seamsright.com

they'll make custom pads however 28" is extraordinarily long across the back. That's more than 10" larger than most saddles. Are you sure you're measuring that right? unless you're riding in a 19" saddle with forward flaps I think you might just need a more forward cut flap and not an extended back length?

Thank you for this link, Sgt Fatty needs a dressage pad that fits.
He is so wide, they look like event pads on him

I'm not completely certain that measurement is right, but I've measured my other saddle pads (which are at least 4-5'' too short) and they are 22'' across the spine.

Thanks for the link!

Maybe order one of their "jump" pads and see if the more forward cut in front (instead of the standard A/P cut) in the Large size is a good fit?

I looked at the website, and, I dunno, but $60 seems like a lot to pay for a saddle pad, especially if I don't know it fits. Also, since I need 4-5 jump pads AND 2-3 dressage pads, that would be almost $500! I don't know about you, but I don't have the money to spend that much on saddle pads

So, can anyone just make simple pads for me? I don't know if I even need "full" pads, since my saddle fits very well with the half pad - so maybe baby pads?

Thanks!

I've been hunting for an extra long pad too, also without luck. I haven’t found any “off the shelf” pads that will work. I’ve found a few websites that will make custom pads.

http://www.unique-equine.com/UEstore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=100_107&zenid=96fa cc39f6eb3e99e9947d754b06faec

I emailed with the owner of this shop. She said she can make pads to your specifications. I liked some of the more “advanced” materials she used.

http://www.hought.com/end.toklat.sad.pads.html

These are custom sized Toklat pads.

http://www.wilkers.com/
This site also makes custom pads.
