    Then, the name continued on. I have 1980s or early '90s brochures that show a Whippy cutback, cc, and AP saddle. I had a bridle leather cutback saddle that was smooth bridle leather with a calfskin seat, and that didn't come about until the '80s.

    It is always possible that someone bought the name. I know from reading that the plant was bombed out and the whippy co. did not rebuild. It was during a horrible time in history and cost to much to rebuild the factory.
