Thursday I was planning on staying home to fix the sink, but needed a part and had to drive to the specialty plumbing store as it is an old sink and local hardware stores don't carry the parts.
i was about three minutes away and a lady rear ended me, throwing me the truck forward two feet.. I think because my foot came off the brake pedal. Luckily I didn't run into the person in front of me.
My metal bumper barely had a scratch, but her plastic one had a hole punched in it and the center plastic car logo (toyota van) popped out. She wanted to just let it ride, but I told her no, we needed to file a report because the last time I got rear ended, I ended up with whip lash that didn't show up until after the guy left.
The cops came and filed a report, but didn't charge her because I didn't want to be nasty about it, but then my neck started hurting and later it got super stiff and I could barely turn to the left, so went to my Chiropractor and sure enough... whip lash.
hopefully the lady's insurance company will pay, but if not, I will eat the cost. I'm still stiff and sore down the whole left side of my body and had a really dark circle under my left eye... not sure if that was related or not.
So, instead of being out kayaking on the water today, I am stuck at home icing my neck. Bummer...
i have been rear ended four times in my driving life. Is that normal or am I just "special"?
