Talking Which rescue deserves this gift and why?

I thought this would be a fun thread. I have three sets of beautiful, hand-made reins that I would like to donate to a rescue/refuge.

Here are the rules....

It must be a legitimate, established rescue - not someone's backyard project. They must have a website and a contiguous United States mailing address (sorry Alaska, Hawaii, and rest of the world!). They must help equines. They can help other animals too, but they must help equines.

I think that covers it for now...Oh, and I will pick the winner and announce it next Friday. But when you think about it, everyone wins because they all raised awareness for their cause.

Example entry*

Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue
23809 E. Avenue J,
Lancaster, CA 93535
http://www.wildhorserescue.org/
"Dedicated to saving American mustangs and domestic horses from abuse, neglect & slaughter"
-couple sentances (no novels please) saying why I should pick this one

*someone can pick this one, but they still have to provide a reason why

Lori is an amazing person who helps horses that no one else will. She has a huge heart, and is very dedicated to helping all horses in need.

Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue
Mt. Airy, MD (PM me for address. They don't have it publically published because they also live on the farm.)
http://gentlegiantsdrafthorserescue.com/index.html
"We are committed to saving draft horses from slaughter, and adopting them into new homes as trail and schooling horses. "

GGDHR is one of the few specifically draft horse rescues I've ever heard of and certainly one of the best I've seen. They take horses as owner surrenders as well as buy them at auction (before the meat man can) and then bring them back for rehab and training. These horses don't just sit around! They get taken on trail rides, camping trips, and go to various shows and public events.

(Disclaimer: I volunteer and ride there. )

My favorite - I adopted the most fabulous OTTB from them!
