Question Which Clip?!

Alright. This winter I have and will be going draghunting. It takes quite a lot out of the horse, and makes Dinah sweat quite a lot. She stays in a large, warm barn overnight with 5 horses she gets along relatively well with (except Pierrot, anyway) and goes out in the field in the day time. Giving English weather can change with the clap of a hand, what clip should she get? She needs to be rugged up, because draghunting's getting her weight down and since she gets so sweaty, she needs a clip. We were thinking of a blanket or high trace, since that takes off all it needs to and no excess, but i'm not sure what kind of rug she'll need with each clip. A little help, please?

if you have different clips you dont need different rugs....im not sure where you are in england but if it anyway near as cold as it is here, where you are....then your horse should be rugged already.....

does your horse get regular excercise? if so...then i would suggest the hunter clip (all body off.....face and legs on) expecially if your going hunting. minnie had a hunter clip when we went hunting and she was DRENCHED all over with sweat. as long as you horse will be properly rugged....but maybe a few rugs on at night....a hunter clip would work.
if you dont want to clip your horse completely out....maybe a blanket clip or trace clip as you said......they will also work....

I have one thing to say. NEVER body clip a buckskin. I did it last year and regretted it big time!

That was really random but I just had to warn you. They turn out greyish, blueish, whitish, uglyish.

He really did look kinda wierd. We left his head and his legs so he was half buckskin and half.. uh.. a whole new color completely. I felt soo bad. He got a lot of looks though! Lol.

Lol. We're going to ask some advice of Jody (yard manager person) and see what her advice is, concerning the type of clip. My other worry is that she won't like the clippers - it's the yard that'll do it, but my mum's going to make sure she's around when they do incase Dinah plays up, because she's never been clipped nor rugged before. She's just never needed it, because we've only had her one winter before (methinks) and I havent done anything through the winter like I am this winter, because I only got the trailer this last summer. It's all rather confusing...
