| Senior Member | Which Bit? I am needing to make my decision on which model of myler to buy for my horse and I am looking for more input so here are my options (currently i ride him in a myler comfort snaffle loose ring, but he has been dangerously inverting and ignoring the bit): -Bit One: Myler Combo Bit Mullen? Pros: Helps horse bend at poll and prevents over bending and is a combo bit prevents inverting Cons: might be too much for my horse (too big of a change) -Bit Two: Myler Combo Bit Three Roller Pros: Helps horse bend at poll, is a combo bit, prevents inverting, myler says its a good step up from the snaffle Cons: Doesnt prevent over bending -Bit Three: Myler Combo Bit Comfort Snaffle Pros: similar to his current bit (easy transition back to a show legal bit), combo bit Cons: No extra help with holding his frame, may not be enough for him -Bit Four: Myler Three Roller Bit Pros: Helps horse bend at poll, prevents inverting, myler says its a good step up from the snaffle, show legal Cons: Doesnt prevent over bending, not a combo -Bit Five: Comfort Snaffle (current bit) Pros: dont have to buy a new bit, show legal Cons: inverts and runs through it Please vote and or post an opinion.

| Senior Member | In my opinion, you should stick with the most simple bit, and figure out WHY he is inverting and running through it. More often than not (from what I've seen, almost always), it is a training issue rather than a bit issue. Do you have a trainer or someone you can work with to solve the issue with your horse instead of trying to fix it using "gadgets" (I apologize if that comes off rudely, I did not mean it in that way).

| Senior Member | you dont seem rude at all, i think unfortunately it is partially because of training that he does this. he was on draw reins for two weeks ( as per my trainer) and before he was pretty inverted but after I would take the draw reins off he would throw his head up and just be very excited about being free with no stop power or respect for the bit. i agree in working through training but before i tried a different bi ton him he was becoming too dangerous to sit and think about things on. I dont think a bit will be an instant fix, i see it as an opportunity to better communicate with him, send him signals he might better understand and also keep him from being a dangerous menace. by the way he has been without draw reins since i realized the problem it was making.
