Since I wrote this thread I got more horses! One of the fillies is a neat p.ooper (except when she's lying down and doesn't bother to get up!!!!) and the other one is like my old mare....p.oops wherever she happens to be...mostly where she eats!!!

I have two geldings so cant really answer the question about whos neater.
My 6yo usually poops near the back and sometimes gets it towards the middle when he walks around. My 1.5yo is usually neater. (if its divided into 3 sections, door area, water, and food) He usually will poop by his door. he sometimes poops right under his water bucket though, how without getting poop in his water I have no clue.

Both of the mares I keep are pretty tidy--keeping it to the back wall in the same area. My little yearling gelding however is a SLOB. Anywhere, everywhere. his stall is such a pain to clean...

Dodger poops wherever he is standing.

Or sometimes I swear he holds it in until I get him inside the indoor arena....LOL
