Where do you buy your fake tails?

ok so where does everybody buy their fake tails? I have never needed one because my old horse had a tail like no other and now i dont know where i should go? also what kind of attachment do you use and whats the best. I think i like the one where you wrap it around the tail kinda and then braid it into the tail but im not sure

i bought mine from www.theshowpen.com ***if you mention my name i get points toward a free tail wink wink*** LOL...seriously tho, they have really great prices and a lot of different styles. I bought Fancy a 3/4 lb. wrap around style because she is small and the full pound would have been too much on her, i think. BUT we have a big QH gelding at the barn who got a tie in style full pound and it looks GREAT on him.

Just do a google search or tail extensions, and a lot of sights will show up.

Try NewTail Horse Tail Extension: www.newhorsetails.com. They have quality extension for different tail needs. I like the EZ-TUBE best since it only needs 1 braid to put in - and it stays in. They even have clip-in tail extension. Check them out.

I go to horse expos nearby or tack sales. I've personally never used a fake tail...

I had mine custom made by a guy near me. He made it into 3 pieces, and each piece had 2 little braids on it with knots at the end. When you put it in, you just find the height you want it at, and braid each piece, (one of each side, and one in the middle) into a small section of hair along the tail bone.

As for a tail that you wrap around the tail bone I would stay away from that.

Lots of tack shops have them....that would be nice if you had one close by so you could look at the "weeve" hehe
