Okay, pictures will help quite a bit. If she's being used for a lesson horse, she may just need a little more than she's getting each day. How many days a week is she being used for lessons?

Until recently she had lessons four days a week for four weeks with a one-week break. They were 45-minutes long with 15 minutes on the ground and 30 minutes up on her. Right now it's one student per day, so she's still not being used as much as she used to be. My students will be done after this month and won't be back until March. Don't know if that's how much you wanted, but still.

When March comes she may have more.

Ok, pictures...We took some today.

To compare this to what I'm used to, here's one that was taken between May/June:

I know the second one is a bit harder to see her body, but...was she just fat and I'm being parinoid, or was she just fat and now she's fit?

She doesn't look thin to me. If anything maybe a bit pudgy. But, I think she looks pretty good.

I think why she looks a bit thin is she has no top line muscling

Agreed.

What level riders are using her in lessons? Beginner? Intermediate? IMO with her conformation it will be difficult for anything lower than a good intermediate+ rider to get her working well and using her topline properly so that may be contributing.

Like I said, all beginner riders right now. I'm the only one that rides her above beginner things, but even so we don't do a whole heck of a lot of hard work. Our trotting only ends up collectively being ten minutes. I've been working with her and extending her working times, but I only started it recently.

Thin? Not necessarily so, but she could definately use some proper muscling. =)

She was overweight before. The pics a bit hard to see, but you can see some definate fat filling behind the withers and elbow.

Now, she's not really 'thin' (though having a slight bit more fat wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing), but she's not fit either. She might not have been fit before and the fat was just covering the missing muscles as well.

The best you can do right now is make sure she has the nutrition to allow her body to develop those muscles, and then work on her getting the correct type of movement for them to develop.

Alright...Any suggestions on how do that? lolz Or would that be a question more fit for the Training section?

What type of movement and exercises would I need to put her through to develop proper muscles? How do I get her topline developed?

Sorry if I sound stupid, I just never particularaly learned about these things.
