when do you all apply mtg?

I used MTG last year on my gelding tail...

I know NOT to apply the mtg during the day when the suns out because it can burn them..

But this year im doing his schedual a little different. Towards the end of may he will be comming in during the day and staying out at night.

Should i apply the mtg in the morning while hes in the stall and put his tial bag on or...

should i apply it at night? IDK which would be better...or if it really matters. The only problem is..is that he cant go out with a tail bag because he always gets it off some how

what should i do..in order to get his tial growing more..?

I apply in the evening I don't have stalls, so they just go straight back out into their corrals. Which are basically a pasture, but no grass. And in a canyon. On a slope.

So...yeah.

I apply it once a week, to the roots only...about evening time?

I do it during the evening too, wether I put Cindy in or leave her out depends on the weather. So it really dosnt matter where you put your horse afterwards.
I have seen tho that ( more on the tail ) the the area you apply gets dirty FAST!
If you want to keep the tail clean I'd say to leave him in untill it dries. ( it does stay a bit greasy tho for a day or two)

Our horses have really long manes and tails, but the problem we had was that they got into the mutual grooming thing and licked the base of each others mane off, silly boys! So we would put it on to help it grow back and it smells so nasty to keep them from licking there. We would put it on at night, about once a week. It really worked, stopped the licking and the hair grew back and is allmost long enough that you cant tell now. They looked really silly when it stood up like little mowhawks.

I bought this stuff but forget to put it on once a week. Does it really make a difference if you put it on once a week...it says on the bottle that there has been reports of like I think it was 3 inches in a month...or something like that
