Sounds good to me! That's a plausible expectation from this cross. I like both of them well enough and they compliment each other. Congrats!

That stallion and your mare are both lovely! I think for an all arounder it would be a pretty good match!

Thanks! His stud fee is quite low to begin with, but upon my departure she mentioned free breeding + mare care, so i'm pretty exciting.

He'll add some substance to her, without the height. They both move quite exceptionally, he'll refine her head more (the photo of her headshot is very flattering, her nick-name around the barn is moose because of her long nose :P). He's not homozygous black, but all his foals he's thrown have been black and his recently gelded son was Homozygous. The only thing that makes me slightly tear up is the lack of white on both of them, haha.. but beggers can't be choosers!

Well since she's black based too (any idea if she could be homozygous?) you've got at least a 75% chance of black based (bay, brown or maybe black in this case). I'd be testing her for extension and agouti if it were me so I'd know my EXACT chances. LOL!

I'm not sure if she's homozygous, this will be her first baby

I'm not too terribly concerned about it - I look forward to the surprise

I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed you're not going with a warmblood, but this cross will have a great chance of getting you what you want, as well as getting you papers, too

Wouldn't be my first choice for an Arab stud, but not bad at all! You have a gorgeous mare, congratulations!
