Talking What's your favorite hoof polish?

I'm intending to show this year, so I wanted to find out what you guys all did to make their feet shiny. Do you use Rio Vista? Absorbine? Bacon grease? Etc., etc.?

I use linseed oil...its cheap, it works and it doesn't block out moisture like alot of the commercial brands do.

I always wet my horses hooves w/ a sponge or rag before applying hoof polish, so the hoof polish doesnt block all moisture. This allows it to absorb the moisture. I usually use olive oil for hoof polish, but i've been recently usuing Absorbine and I like it.

Smile

I will use any brand of hoof black/clear polish.
What ever is on sale, or the cheapest, is fine with me.
I think it is what I do to prep the hoof before I put on the polish and what I put on after the polish that makes the BIG difference!
After the hoof polish always comes.....
Ultra Hoof Polish Enhancer.
It is GREAT stuff and looks good on a just a clean, unpolished hoof too!!!

I use Absorbine. Black because my horses have dark hooves.
