What's this guy worth?

"THIS ONE FOR TRADE"

"TRADER" is a 2005 AQHA/ARHA gelding with a beautiful head, strong hip, good bones/feet.

Trailered and shown extensively as a 2-3 year old.

Show Record:

2007
34 ARHA OPEN & AMATEUR points. MoRHA 2/3 Walk/Trot "High Point".
Points in... Conformation, In Hand Trail, and Ranch Riding.
2008
58 ARHA OPEN points (26th in the state) and 47 ARHA AMATEUR points.( 12th. in the state). Points in... Conformation, Trail, Showmanship, Ranch Riding, Barrels and Poles
2009
Only shown locally on a limited schedule due to owners injury.
Will continue to be shown until sold!

Athletic and balanced, beautiful flying lead changes, big stop, reining potential. 11 months professional training, started on horsemanship, and bridleless riding. Extremely smooth at Showmanship, learns the patterns quickly.
Bred for Western Pleasure, but extends for English.
Excels at trail obstacles, both in and out of the arena. Has mastered gates, ground poles, boxes, sidepass, tarps, bridges( flat or arched), roping from saddle, dragging logs, slickers, mailboxes, and most any obstacle that we have come across. One of the smartest and willing horses we have ever worked with.

Extremely laid back, but willing to get up and go when you ask for it. UTD on shots, Coggins, and worming. Loads on command, bathes , clips, lunges, and will stand at the trailer all day. Easy keeper, happy turned out 24/7 or stalled. No vices, agressive behaviors or bad habits. Should mature to around 15.1 with a muscled body type based on siblings, sire and dam.

Foundation bred. Grandson of "The Investor" AQHA Hall of Fame horse... on top, and "Tiger Leo" AQHA Hall of Fame horse on the bottom.

Here are a couple of pictures...

Here is his sale video...

Thanks for looking.

He's a super cute gelding and very responsive to you. However, he has been very overbridled and is falling on his forehand and heavy in front in all gaits and it shows the most at the lope where he looks like he will soon fall on his face. He needs to be driving a LOT more from behind. He also is too "old style" for todays show pen in that he IS the defination of "peanut roller". He would need a LOT of forward work and re-mold his muscles to pick himself up through the shoulders and neck even to possibly work correctly.

He would probably be ok for a walk trot youth and do well enough in that pen, but anything beyond that, you are going to have to do a LOT of work with him to get him out of the mold he is in now.

I could possibly sell him to a youth w/t client for $1000, but that is more on his temperment than on his way of going. He doesn't have the build or the movement for me to look at him as a potential reining/RCH prospect.
