I'm curious, does Troxel have a policy with there helmets that if, within a certain time frame, you have taken a fall in your helmet or whatever that they will redeem you for it? I have made the mistake a couple times of tousing my helmet on the arena floor after a ride and I'm thinking that probably wasn't a good idea. lol. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I somehow doubt that they would. They could very well feel that the helmet has done its job of protecting you. Tossing your helmet about is not good for it. If you are in doubt about it's effectiveness you may just need to buy a new one.

| Senior Member | I know IRH has a policy where if you sustain a fall ,not the ones where you can't see the damage but one where you took a hard enough fall. They will give you half of what the helmet costs ,so you can purchase a new one. As for tossing your helmet about It isn't the greatest idea. i have placed my troxel sport uspide down ect.and well it's all scratched so i keep it as my backup since i really never liked it in the first place .so i have my ghetto black velvet now which i baby. I forgot to edit that i think you have to ship the helmet to them in order to get the money or how ever they do it. |

Yes, a lot of the helmet manufactuers will give you a good discount on a replacement helmet if you return the one you fell in. I'm told it's so they can do research on their helmets after real-life conditions. Contact them through http://www.troxelhelmets.com/service/

Thanks you guys. I'll contact them, see what their policy is. I think it's time to get another one, at least by August when I go off to college. I've taken a few falls in it, dunno if I hit my head (don't think so...) and it has some scratches on it outer cover.
