I saw Goliath, the Percheron that Priefert claims is the tallest living horse in the world, just last weekend at the Midwest Horse Fair. He was HUGE! They were handing out cards with his picture and information on the back, here's what it says...

Goliath is a Percheron Draft Horse who currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the tallest living horse.

He stands 19.1 hands (6'5" at the withers) and weighs about 2400lbs.

Goliath eats 18lbs of Pilgrim's Pride Grain, 40lbs of Coastal Bermuda hay grown on Priefert Ranch, and drinks 20 gal. of water each day.

Well my old TB was 17hh almost 17.1. I never thought he was that big until I was at a show and the judge asked me how tall he was I said around 16.2 or so. Well the judge laughed and said oh no he is a lot bigger than that. So he brought out a measuring stick and low and behold he was almost 17.1hh.

My dream horse that I am in love with is a true 18hh. He is a hano gelding that is owned by this great dressage trainer in my area. My friend use to work at the farm where he is and she was there when they measured him. She was fascinated to see that he really was 18hh.

17.1 hands is the tallest I've seen, and it just so happens to be at the place I'm moving my horse too!! This guy is huge!! His withers towers over me and I'm 5'7". He has a pasture mate that is 16 something hands and he looks tiny beside the 17.1 guy lol!!

The biggest horse I've handled was a Warmblood mare, about 17.2 hands! Her yearling filly is as big as a 2 year old on the property!

I saw Goliath about 2-3 months ago, I think. He was at a local tack and feed store! I couldn't believe how big he was!

I saw the world's largest living horse (per Guiness records)last week April 16 at the Midwest Horse fair. He is a percheron named Goliath (go figure) and stands 19 hands tall. I cannot remember if it was 19 something or not. Beautiful horse and very well behaved.
