| Full Member | whats she worth? i am thinking about putting my horse up for sale so that i can get a horse that i fit better. im not sure what she is worth though, we bought her as a 3 year old for $3500 Isabella is a 7 year old 15hh trakehner/quarter horse cross. she is very happy to jump 3', i have shown at training level dressage with scores in the 60's and i am schooling first level movements. i have shown mostly schooling jumpers as that is what i can afford but she is always in the ribbons and has NEVER had a rail or refusal. we have also evented at beginner novice and novice with double clear jumping rounds and dressage scores in the mid to low 30's. she is definitely a show stopper in the looks department, i cant go anywhere without someone complimenting how beautiful she is. she can be a brat but that is a given since she is a mare. she clips, loads, ties, stands for vet/farrier, and im a stickler for ground manners! so what do you guys think i should price her at? |

| Senior Member+ | Man o man! She is a looker! I am in love Over here a horse like her, advertised right (good pics, good spell-checked advert, things like that) could easily fetch you £8000. That's apparently almost $16000. I don't know the horse market where you are, though, so I would go browsing and look at similar horses and what they are going for. The horse market here is pretty different to over there, I'm buying a 4 year old with 2 months of riding work on her for £2700, which is just over $5000!

| Senior Member+ | Man, if she is consistent with her form, then you can easily sell her for 20-25k here (CA). Free jumping her to demonstrate her scope and potential would also be very beneficial to you, because all the people seeking nice WBs with color and great jumping ability would fall in love! You got a DEAL with her.

| Senior Member+ | if she was doing well in A shows in hunter and jumper (she could do hunters well even thoough her jump isn't truely round she gives a bit of the illusion of roundess through her neck and has her knees up, tho the first jump it looks like she is splitting her knees a bit. She could do hunters well if she has the steady ground covering stride) I was going to give a price of around 25000 depending on movement, and ease of ride, till I reread you post. Unfortunately 15hh is not very desireable in the hunter ring as they may have difficulty with the striding. and in both the hunter/jumper ring around here the fashion is to have big powerful horses. But b/c of her small stature she can probably really do the tight ponylike turns. Probably wouldn't be a horse for someone wanting to do over 3'3 but for the small stuff a younger person may like her . So roughly 15000, but that's with A show experience
