On the news they just said that 'alcohol bongs' were being outlawed because they will make you drunk faster than drinking alcohol. So what is an 'alcohol bong' and how does it work?

Bonging a Beer is the act of using a funnel, or beer bong, to rapidly consume a large amount of liquid, most commonly beer or a similar alcoholic beverage, as a drinking game or as a means to consume a large amount of alcohol in a small amount of time. The inherent challenge is to swallow the rapid flow of beer in one attempt, without spillages. It is popular at college and university campuses and the local pub.

This may sound odd.. but it works like chugging a brand new gallon of milk... A lot of weight and the liquid actually flows in large volume each time you open your throat to swallow.... I have never used a beer bong, so my take on it has to come from a gallon of milk, lol

It's a funnel that sometimes comes with a 'tap' on the end of the hose... that way you hold the funnel high while you pour the alcohol in and wait for froth to settle a little bit and then guzzle as much as you can.
You lay or kneel on the floor, while someone holds the funnel end up high, allowing all the alcohol to flow through the tap quicker.
It's much quicker to guzzle a couple drinks with a beer bing then to puncture a can and scull them that way.
A lot of people use them as 'party starters' or in drinking games.

Yup, basically just a funnel and a tube. Sometimes they make really fancy ones though, doubles, triples, actually I've seen one that was made out of the bottom of a water cooler bottle that was rigged for six people. The plumbing section of Canadian Tire is full of neat plumbing stuff...

I think they are incredibly stupid and have never and will never use one, not only do I hate beer and would spit it out before long I do not want to end up in the hospital. I can't imagine that much liquid that fast is comfortable in your stomach either I think it's ridiculous, just like keg stands.

I was thinking the same thing... you can even just use a can and a knife... not sure how they'll enforce it? Maybe if you have them at a party that gets busted they'll fine you?
