Ive seen used Crosbys in really good condition go for $350 and up. I got lucky when I got my Crosby, it was $100 but that is rare I think. Course that was 22 years ago.

They are fine saddles that hold their value fairly well.

It depends on the model, some are harder to find, and that of course drives up the price, the condition, what would need to be put into it ,
if anything, money wise. Of course the market.

I find before the Holidays is a very favorable market for saddles.

If you showed us a picture, we could give you a far better idea

I have a few older Crosbys, and I would not give them up!

You have a very nice Aunt.

The thing is it LOOKs old and thats the thing that would through potential buyers off. How old is it? People want second hand saddles that are the same type avalible retail. But still, Crosby is a good brand, and new the saddles are about $3000 (in australia) As and australian who is familar with australian prices, I might pay $200- $300

Looks like one of my all time favorite saddles, The Crosby PDN.

Search threads here for used ones, to get an idea of price, and check ebay as well as many show up there. You should be able to get a good idea of what these go for in that condition, which is nice btw.

If it is a wide saddle, you will get more for it

Google how to measure an english saddle , so you know what size it is.

Good luck, you may want to reconsider keeping it, they are great saddles.

That style of Crosby has been selling for $150-300, depending on where you sell it, what condition its in, and what you include with it. The plain flap style with no knee roll is just not popular right now.

^^^ sadly thats true (well sad depends on your pov).

Plain flaps are just out of favor right now. Check the saddle over very well and take accurate measurements. Look for any markings or stamps. Crosby's usually have the tree size engraved on the stirrup bar. as Fox Glove said, a wide saddle will bring a higher price.

Once you know everything about the saddle, then go look on ebay or on sales sites and see what people are asking, and see what they are actually selling for.

Yours looks to be in very good condition. You might consider hanging onto it, plain flap saddles are bound to come back into fashion again. You might also enjoy riding it. I thought I liked big coochy sofa saddles till I did a weekend jump lesson on a plain plain plain cc - basically just a flap of leather and a girth! - I loved riding a plain flap with no patches or blocks... I never would've guessed that had I not tried.

i agree 100% with Buck. I have been trying for over two years to find the perfect dressage saddle for my english work to no avail and lots of wasted money. for grins i borrowed my friends cc saddle (looks exactly like yours) and had the best fit on my wide gelding- and put me into the best position with my leg, upper body- also incredibly comfy. forget those $$$$ dressage saddles, I am going back to the close contact of my youth! if you do want to sell it, PM me, I will be looking for my own saddle soon.
