What would they through?

Here is my AQHA Black mare.

And i want to breed her to IMA ZIPPIN LEAGURER.

http://aqha.equine.com/Stallions/ad_...b-8f374e5787e3

I want to know what you think they would through?
If i can register the baby in AQHA and APHA or just one of them?
Anything else you want to tell me!

Thanks

Unless the foal turns out to be a crop-out pinto, you can't register him APHA, but you should be able to register him AQHA.

As for color, it depends on whether your mare is homozygous black, and whether the stallion carries any bay modifiers. Without knowing either of those, your choices are black, bay, chestnut.

And honestly, I'm not happy with the stallion you chose for your mare. He has a very straight hip, not much of a croup, and a bit of a long back and when you switch the pic to his front, he is looks severely toed out, twisting at the hocks and looks toed out in the front, twist beginning at the knees.

I'm going to pick out a few "bad points" on your mare...
Your mare already has a long back, not much of a croup herself, and neck that does not tie in at all well to the body. Too low to the withers and into the chest. I"d almost say it is an Ewe Neck

With her being black it is hard to see the stifle at the angle she is standing, but something is jumping out at me in that area, I cannot pinpoint it exactly.

First question...Why this mare?

What will you be planning on doing with the foal?

WHY this stallion?

He is NOT a good compliment to your mare in my opinion

BW, on the ad page I think it said he was AQHA/APHA registered....but still. Very unlikely to get a crop out!

yeah, I saw that...just deleted it after actually SCROLLING down on the ad. lMAO

Actually, she can still register the foal breeding stock since the sire is APHA. Doesn't have to completely paint out.

Just looking at conformation, Grandslam Zippo looks to be a MUCH Better compliment to your mare. He has the body that your mare is lacking, to give the foal better chances at a more correct build.

Now this one, My Rugged Destiny

Has a long back, but Knowing Rugged Lark's babies, they are AWESOME hunters....

I am totally with Blistering Winds, I trust her judgement up to date and trust her also the best. Do what she says for the best, I trust her fully a great horse person knowing exactly what she says.
