What to put on rubs on my horses face...

My gelding has 3 little nicks or rubs on his face. I am not sure if he did this in the stall or what happened. It has kind of rubbed a penny size or smaller place on his face and the hair is gone. We have a show on May 10th so I want to clear these up before then. What to do?

When I have cuts where it's just missing hair (no open wounds, though), I swear by Bag Balm. It just keeps the skin pliable. You could also use something like Tri-Care or even just triple antibioic ointment.
