Lightbulb What to feed in show preparation?

I'm going to a show in 3 days, and I'm wondering what kind of things you can feed your horse, that you can find around the house, that will make your horse's coat shine?

You have left you preparation time a little late!

A horses blood cycle is 12 weeks, therefore this is the amount of time needed for new feeds etc to be accepted into the horses system properly.

You can try things like sunflower seeds, a little olive oil etc?

Oils must be vegetable oils like peanut, olive or sunflower oils, introduced slowly over a number of days.

Show preparation takes months not days!!!!!!

Copra, sunflower seed and boiled linseed. A good diet is the key.

Not saying those 3 things comprise a good diet, I mean as part of one.

Cocasoya oil works great at adding shine to the coat.

I would go to a health food store and buy some Flax seed That and I feed corn oil as well... but I only do that to get the supplements to stick to my horse's feed (pellets), but it does have the benefits of omega 6 (but having too much omega 6 and not enough omega 3 isn't good - you want more omega 3, and flax is higer in 3 than 6...) I'm about 99% sure that I DIDN'T mix up the 3's and 6's That and a well balanced diet with a good quality feed, of course
