Player's a 2 xtra. He's got a 10 1/2" cannon bone. 16 hand Paint. Our mares are all in 1xtra if and when they're shod. But we keep everyone here barefoot and boot when we ride. As for angles? No idea... it's what balances with them and their body.

Wow so many small hooved horses on here! In most shoes Romeo is a size 3. His feet are a little smaller than I would like for his size but still a decent size. Most of the horses I deal with (ride and take care of) all wear 2's, 3's or 4's. And my old horse was at least a 4, sometimes a 5 depending on the brand.

My mare wears a 0 or a 00... She's got little hooves. Lol. My farrier says that he'd like for her to have bigger hooves, but we work with what she gives us.

Libby wears a size 1 but we have never had to put shoes on her the others don't wear shoes either.

Peyton is to young for shoes.

The mini's don't need shoes and if they did they would have to be special made right down to the nails.

When Raps had shoes on they were #2 Diamond brand. When hes needed shoeboots theyre size 2 preferably; he can be squeezed into a 1 but itll split before itll wear out.

Here uhhhh no. A lot of the farriers dont/wont hot shoe. They might put the shoe in the forge, shape a bit cool and check the fit, then they shape cold and keep cold shaping until the shoe fits. My shoer wont cool until the shoe fits perfectly.

I thought the only way to fit shoes was to heat it so it is more flexable. Hm, interesting

Just because you heat the shoe to shape it doesn't mean you have to hot shoe with it.

I'm very suprised that your farrier hot shoes all horses. It's not something that's warrented or even appropriate in all situations.
