Where exactly is it located? A picture would be great.
It could be swollen glands, sarcoids, a bug bite, hives, or strangles.
In the quiet light of the stable, you hear a muffled snort, the stamp of a hoof, a friendly nicker. Gentle eyes inquire, "How was your day old friend?" and suddenly, all your troubles fade away.

Your horse has an undiagnosed lump for 3 years? Did I read that right? Have you never had a vet out for any other reason? Surely a vet would see that. Surely you would point it out when the vet comes in to do vac's and teeth. Loose points? As in show points? That really should be the last of your concerns.

You've shown two pics of his left side. Has a vet seen it?

Are both those pics of the same horse? They do not look similar at all. Totally different coloring, in the coat as well as mane.

How old is your horse? It could be a thyroid thing. I know a 32 year old QH who has a HUGE thyroid goiter thing(he also has cushings)
